Pakistan Shaheens were penalized for ball tampering during the sixth one-day match against Zimbabwe Select on Saturday in Harare


, according to umpire Iknow Chaabi. The hosts were awarded five runs as a penalty for the offense committed by the Shaheens. While the tampering incident sparked controversy, the focus of the match soon shifted to the outstanding performance of Zimbabwe Select's batters.


Craig Ervine played a remarkable innings, scoring 195 runs, supported by Innocent Kaia's contribution of 92 runs. Their partnership helped Zimbabwe Select achieve a massive total of 385/7. The bowlers from Pakistan Shaheens struggled to contain the Zimbabwean batsmen, with Mohammad Ali, Qasim Akram, and Aamer Jamal taking two wickets each. However, Shahnawaz Dahani had a challenging day, conceding 105 runs in his allotted 10 overs.


Despite the setback of the tampering penalty, the Pakistan Shaheens will now have to regroup and develop a strong batting strategy to chase down the formidable target set by Zimbabwe Select.
