Babar Azam Equals T20I Captaincy Record with Most Wins Babar Azam has achieved a remarkable feat by equalling the record for the most victories as a T20I captain. 

Pakistan secured a convincing 38-run win against New Zealand at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, further solidifying Babar's captaincy prowess. With this win, Babar Azam has now led his team to 42 victories in 68 T20I matches, placing him alongside the esteemed company of former captains Eoin Morgan of England and Asghar Afghan of Afghanistan, who also have 42 victories to their names.

 This achievement puts Babar in a position to surpass all other T20I captains in history if he manages to win the remaining three games of the series against New Zealand. 

The 28-year-old captain has already outperformed the renowned Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who led his team to 41 victories in 72 games. Aaron Finch, the former captain of Australia, currently holds the seventh position on the list with 40 victories in 76 T20Is.

 Babar Azam's achievement as a T20I captain is commendable, and the remaining matches of the series will undoubtedly be closely watched as he vies to break the record and solidify his place in cricketing history.
